Wednesday… the Journey to the Cross

The scriptures don’t give us specific events that happened today, but we do know that with Passover approaching the chief priests and scribes are plotting ways to put Jesus to death.

Satan enters Judas Iscariot, who agrees to hand over Jesus to the chief priests for thirty pieces of silver. Judas now begins watching for an opportunity to betray His Lord.

Jesus continues to teach in the Temple and to spend the night in Bethany. Bethany was the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. It was here that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
